These are just little things to have around your house. Different sizes -- different uses. Make it in cotton thread and felt and block it, you have a Christmas tree ornament. Lightweight wool or acrylic, a cro-sage! Bulky, fuzzy wool, a holiday trivet. The picture above is of the 4-point thing as a Christmas tree ornament done in cotton twine.Materials List

anyThe Pattern
All: Sl knot, leave good 10 cm tail.Ch 7, join by sl st in first ch.
4-point: Tch of 3, 11 dc into the ring. Join by sl st in the top of the tch.
Tch of 1, *hdc, dc, hdc into next st, sc 2, repeat from * until to 2 sts from the tch, hdc, dc, hdc into next st, sc, sl st into tch. Cut yarn, pull through, leave a 6 cm tail.
6-point: Tch of 4, *ch 3, tr into ring, repeat from * 5 times, ch 3, sl st into the top of the tch.
Tch of 1, *ch 3, sk 1, tr into next st, ch 3, sk 1, sc into next st, repeat from * until you get to 3 sts from the tch, ch 3, sk 1, tr into next st, ch 3, sk 1, sl st into the tch. Cut yarn, pull through, leave a 6 cm tail.
8-point: Tch of 4, *ch 2, tr into ring, repeat from * 7 times, ch 2, sl st into the top of the tch.
Tch of 3, ch 1, sl st into next 2 sts, *ch 1, dc, ch 1, sl st into next 2 sts, repeat from * until you get to 2 sts from the tch, sl st into next 2 sts, ch1, sl st into the top of the tch. Cut yarn, pull through, leave a 6 cm tail.
All: Cut both tails to 1-2 cm, and weave in, on the underside if you are making a corsage or a coaster.
