This morning I'd like to share with you how to sew a little pochette in a beautiful fabric, with pearl button and ribbon.
First of all, cut a rectangle of fabric, one of fusible strengthener and one of lining.
Iron the fusible strengthener on the back side of fabric
Put the fabric and the lining right to right and sew all around except for one of the short size. The short part you sew can have rounded angles.
After sewing, make little cuts in the curves and then reverse the fabric.
Iron to press the borders all around
Turn inside the fabric and the lining open borders and sew them together.
Fold a part of the rectangle and sew the two sides.
Sew the clutch all around, in this way you can press also the flap lining...
After you sew all around the pochette, turn it inside out and then think what to use to make a closer: a pression button, a normal button or everything else your fantasy may suggest…
To make very particular your pochette, you can embroider it with perls, like I did.
