Round hendmeyd bag crocheted of bright hexagonal motifs. The size of bags depends on the thickness of the yarn. The thicker the yarn, the bigger will be a bag. Inside knitted bags to sew cloth lining.

Begin to knit a bag of individual hexagonal motifs. Recruit a chain of 5 stitches.

I used a 5 mm hook for these, and they ended up being about 3.5 inches by 2 inches. First, chain 25. Join to the first chain with a slip stitch, being careful not to twist the chain:

Here's a shawl pattern I've written within the past month or so.
It's called the Angel Wings Shawl pattern and this name was chosen from about 50-60 names that were suggested to me than voted on by the amazing people over in Crochetville. My home away from home.

Knitted shawls: Wheelchair Wrap

I created this pattern for those who really like the Weaver's Wool Mini shawl but do not knit.
I really like the size of this little shawl because it is perfect for those individuals who are wheelchair bound or bed ridden. It covers the shoulders without excess fabric to get caught in chair wheels or bunch up in the bed. It also makes it very easy for care givers to minister to the elderly since their arms are easily accessible.

I have finally written my notes up for my version of the Hexagon Sweater.
Sue's Hexagon Baby Sweater

Materials: sport weight yarn
(I used Lion Brand Baby Soft) and an F hook



Ch 6, join yarn with a sl st to form a ring.



Round 1: Ch 3 (count as 1st dc), 2 dc in ring, *ch 2, 3 dc in ring, repeat from * 4 times, ch 1, hdc into top of beg ch 3 (6 sets of 3 dc).



Round 2: ch 3, dc in same space, *dc in each dc, 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc in ch 2 space, repeat from * 4 times, dc in each dc, 2dc in ch 2 sp, ch 1, hdc in top of ch 3.

In addition to increasing the size, I added a stand-up collar, and put ruffles at the cuffs and hem for a more feminine look. The jacket's dimensions are easily customized by changing yarn and/or hook size. For example, the newborn size uses DK weight yarn and an "F" hook; Bev's 3-6 month size uses a soft 4-ply worsted yarn and a "G" hook; my version uses worsted weight yarn with an "I" hook. Enjoy!

Hexagon Baby Sweater

First off, I have to say: This isn't my pattern. I saw one on someone's blog, then saw it on Crochetville, who saw a video on You Tube that a lady made in Portugese. You can see the video here, if you want.... Well, that will take you to the Crochetville post which has a link to the video... Anyway~ Now that I have that out of the way. :P This isn't really a row by row pattern. You are basically making two hexagons and sewing them together for the back and sleeves... Here's one hexagon. See how it is all ruffly? It's supposed to look like that. :P
It will fold up into this:
You will make two of them and sew the back seam. Now, on to the details:
I used an F hook and baby yarn. Patons Astra for the green strip and a ball with no band for the yellow. The yellow was a slightly lighter weight than the green. Note: To make a newborn size, I used an F or a D hook, and fingering weight yarn. It is a small newborn size, though. So you may want to use an F. (I really can't remember which size hook I used, sorry.... but I will be making another one in newborn, soon. So I'll let you know.) :)

Introduction

These are just little things to have around your house. Different sizes -- different uses. Make it in cotton thread and felt and block it, you have a Christmas tree ornament. Lightweight wool or acrylic, a cro-sage! Bulky, fuzzy wool, a holiday trivet. The picture above is of the 4-point thing as a Christmas tree ornament done in cotton twine.

This is yet another flake that reminds me a little of bicycle spokes. It is one of seven variations I worked trying to duplicate an etched snowflake on a glass. I often keep doing the same flake over and over and over when I'm designing, with minor changes each time, until I get the pattern just right.
