what you'll need:

Fake or Silk Flowers from Craft Store
Thick Elastic, preferrably in black
Scissors
E600 Adhesive (or glue gun if you're not hardcore)
Paint Brush
Needle and Thread
Adornments (I used pom poms)

First, pick apart your flowers so all of the pedals are separated.

Arrange the flowers into the general color scheme desired. Mine ended up looking like this:

After arranging the pedals, measure the circumference of your head with the elastic. It is a good idea to add about half an inch seam allowance. When you finish adding all of your flowers, you can always cut back excess elastic.

Next, sew the flowers on. Start about a quarter of an inch in so you have enough room to join the wreath. It is also a good idea to layer them and smoosh them all together so they take on a new shape.

This step of the process might be the most time consuming and rewarding. Boo and yay!

Mine looked like this when all the pieces were sewed on:

Add decorations. Allow substantial time to dry.

Now cut your felt the same width as your elastic.

Get your handy dandy adhesive and start applying to felt with the paint brush.

Stick your felt to the back of the elastic like so:

Smoosh down so that there are no air bubbles.

Now, you are ready to sew the two ends together. Make sure you have trimmed off any excess felt or elastic.

Now, add a few more flower pedals on to cover your newly sewn seam.
Give your wreath a good stretttttttchhhhhhhh.
Place on your head and look ethereal.

You can make several variations of this project. It's comfortable and has a finished look.

I hope you enjoy making these. Let me know if you come up with your own variations. I'd love to see them!
